Jessie Rising has been named CoSIDA Academic All-District. Rising advances to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Ballot.
First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in June.
The two-way player for the Jaspers is also valedictorian of the 2022 senior class after graduating with a 4.0 GPA while majoring in biology. The Little Egg Harbor, N.J. native, made 39 starts between the outfield and in the circle in 2022. The lefthander logged the most innings inside the circle for the Jaspers with 98.2. Rising also led the staff in ERA and shared the lead in wins.
The last softball player for Manhattan to be named Academic All-District was Adriana Gambino in 2020.
