Annie Moore and
Ava Metzger collected MAAC weekly awards on Tuesday. Moore was named player of the week and Metzger collected rookie of the week honors.
Moore hit .800 last week over four games for Manhattan. The senior also posted a .786 on-base percentage and a 1.500 slugging percentage. Moore drove in four and scored three times with four of her eight hits going for extra bases. In game one at Hartford on Friday, Moore went 2-for-2 with a triple and two RBI. Moore then provided the walk-off solo homer for the Jaspers in game two against Wagner on Sunday.
Metzger pitched a complete game against Wagner in game two of the doubleheader on Sunday. The first-year Jasper struck out three and allowed only one run while scattering nine hits over nine innings of work. Metzger went 1-for-3 with a double in game two too.
Moore, Metzger, and Manhattan return to action on Tuesday afternoon at home against St. John's before visiting Albany on Sunday.
