RIVERDALE, N.Y. – The Manhattan men's and women's lacrosse teams continue their regular seasons with a pair of games. Baseball travels to Hempstead, NY to play this week while softball has a full eight-game schedule.
The women's lacrosse team lost to Uconn on Wednesday 16-6. In defeat, the Jaspers (4-2) got three points from Grace Lipponer and Meghan Rodino.
The men's lacrosse team fell to Hofstra 8-4 on Saturday in Hempstead, NY.
In the loss, Brendan O'Sullivan scored his third of the season and
Brendan Krebs recorded 11 saves in goal for the Jaspers.
The men's basketball team was defeated by the Rider Broncs 79-67 in the opening round of the 2022 MAAC Championships in Atlantic City, NJ. Josh Roberts finished with 10 points and seven rebounds. Senior guard Jose Perez added five assists and 21 points.
The women's basketball team competed at the 2022 MAAC Championships in Atlantic City, NJ, defeating Canisius and Quinnipiac in the first two rounds. The Jaspers fell to the Fairfield Stags in the final 73-68 on Saturday. Dee Dee Davis had a game- and career-high 35 points and two assists. Courtney Warley finished with 12 points and 13 rebounds.
The Manhattan baseball team took one and lost one in a doubleheader against St, John's in Queens, NY on Friday. John Farley picked up the win for the Jaspers after pitching three and three innings of shutout relief.
On Saturday, the softball team lost to 2-1 to Princeton in Santa Barbara, CA. They followed that with a 5-1 loss to UCSB and a 12-2 win over Sacred Heart on Sunday. Lauren Rende finished the second game with 3-for-3 with four RBI and three runs scored.
Annie Moore was also 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs scored.
The Manhattan Golf team finished ninth at the Sacred Heart Invitational.
Samuel Taraian was the top finisher for the Jaspers. The senior finished T26 after posting a 156 (+12)
