GLEN COVE, N.Y. - Manhattan golf wrapped up day one at the Nassau Invitational in 9th place, after a long two-round day. The Jaspers shot a 610 (+50) on the par 70 course, including a 313 (+33) first round and a 297 (+17) second round.
Leading the charge for the Jaspers is
David Mlynek who is currently tied for 18th individually, shooting 148 (+8), including a 69 (-1) in the second round.
Jimmy Escoto and
Colby Norton tied for the second-best day for the Jaspers, each shooting 153 (+13) throughout the two rounds.
The current tournament leader is St John's Tyler Gerbavsits, who was able to shoot a 140 (E) in two rounds. St John's holds the team lead as well posting a total score of 580 (+20).
The tournament will conclude tomorrow at Nassau Country Club, where the Jaspers will hope to build on their round two momentum on what has proved to be a challenging course for all teams involved.
