Swim and Dive Partners with Horace Mann School

RIVERDALE, N.Y.— The Manhattan men's and women's swimming and diving team has a new home. The Jaspers will be swimming at the Jeffrey H. Loria Family Aquatic Center at Horace Mann School for the 2022-2023 season.

The Jaspers entered into a partnership with the Horace Mann School to provide the Jaspers with access to one of the top swimming facilities in New York City which is located one block away from the Manhattan campus, giving the Jaspers easy access to the facility for practice as well as giving them the ability host meets.

The facility comes equipped with a Daktronics video board which will provide live timing for the race in progress as well as a 25-yard variable depth pool that accommodates up to eight lanes as well as an expansive deck space for the swimmers. The facility also offers spectators seating for over 150 fans.

"We are very fortunate to have the use of this facility. The relationship between Manhattan and Horace Mann School is a strong one that goes back many years," commented head coach Eric Rasmussen, Jr. "After two years of struggling through the pandemic, it is a wonderful feeling to call this pool "home."

"We have been training there since the beginning of the season and I am looking forward to hosting our home competitions there."

The Jaspers' first meet in the facility is scheduled for this Saturday, Oct. 22 when the Jaspers welcome St. Francis Brooklyn to Jeffrey H. Loria Family Aquatic Center at Horace Mann with the start time scheduled for 1 p.m.
