Enrique Martinez (San Salvador, El Salvador / Barton CC) was named MAAC Male Field Performer of the Week on Tuesday, February 11.
Martinez earned a collegiate best in the men's weight throw at the Millrose Games on February 6, hitting a distance of 18.37 meters. He bested his former PR of 18.10 meters, set at the 2020 Metropolitan Indoor Championships, where he took home the weight throw title. Martinez finished in fifth place at the Millrose Games.
This is the sixth weekly conference award the Jaspers have earned this season and the first of the year for Martinez. Only Rider has claimed more weekly award's this season.
Manhattan is back in action starting February 14 at the BU Valentine Invitational in Boston.
