STATEN ISLAND, NY – The Manhattan Men's and Women's Track and Field returned to action in the NYC Gotham Cup from Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Staten Island on Friday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- On the Women's side, sophomore Oliviah Hussey posted a second-place finish in the Women's 200 Meter event with a time of 25.20. Just .09 seconds behind was sophomore Ellianne Fernandez for a third-place marker.
- In the Women's 400 Meter event, freshman Kayla Darius logged a 59.70 time.
- As a team, the Green and White finished second in the Women's 4 x 400 Relay with a time of 3:59.61, featuring a quartet of Fernandez, Hussey, Darius, and SaRae Kennard.
- Finishing top five in the Women's 4 x 800 Relay were the Jaspers with a time of 10:20.83. The team consisted of Ashley Avena, Bella Cannizzo, Natalia Socha, and Paula Pallares.
- Sophomore Thea Dahl recorded a mark of 15.47m in the Women's Weight Throw.
- On the men's side, junior Christopher Purchia recorded a time of 50.35 in the Men's 400 Meter event.
- Senior Adrian Alonso finished in the top ten in the Men's 3000 Meter event with a time of 8:47.73.
- In the Men's 5000 Meter race, senior Jack Flanagan logged a time of 15:42.68.
- Penultimately, junior Thomas Dubnov Raz posted a mark of 7.05m in the Men's Long Jump Flight Three.
- Finally, landing in the top ten in the Men's Weight Throw was sophomore Daniel McWilliams, who sported a mark of 14.69m.

The Green and White continues its 2025-26 indoor season on Friday and Saturday, January 23 and 24, when the Jaspers take part in the Dr. Sander Scorcher event hosted by Columbia University at The Armory.
