Syracuse, NY - The Basketball Tournament (TBT) – the $2 million, summer basketball event broadcast live on ESPN networks – recently revealed that Team Draddy, a Manhattan College alumni-based team, has gained entry into this year's 64 team field.
Team Draddy is organized by general manager Kenny Bowen, a Manhattan College graduate. Their roster includes:
Dave Holmes (2000-04)
Rhamel Brown (2010-14)
Shane Richards (2012-16)
Team Draddy will be competing in TBT's Syracuse Regional hosted by Boeheim's Army (Syracuse alumni) at Onondaga Community College's SRC Arena from July 26-28.
The squad received the seventh seed in the Syracuse Regional, will take on the second-seeded Armored Athlete on Friday, July 26 at 3 pm (game time subject to change) live on ESPN3.
If they were to advance, Team Draddy would face the winner of Brotherly Love and Playing for Jimmy V on Saturday, July 27. The championship game of the Syracuse Regional will be held on Sunday, July 28. The winner of that game will receive a cash prize equivalent to 25% of ticket sales in the region and advance to Chicago for Championship Week August 1-6 to compete for $2 million.
