Riverdale, NY - Manhattan softball will host Siena in a MAAC doubleheader starting at 11:00 am on May 4 at Gaelic Park. The game day will also serve as the program's annual Senior Day, and six Jaspers will be recognized for their achievements to the program on the field in between games.Â

Regular Season
Saturday's match-up will be the Jaspers' final regular season games. Going into the doubleheader, Manhattan is 20-28 on the year and 7-11 in the league, good for ninth place in the MAAC standings. Siena comes into Saturday's games at 18-22 and 10-6 in the conference, holding fourth place in the league standings. The top six teams advance to the 2019 MAAC Championships, which will be hosted by the MAAC #1 seed.Â
League Best
The Jasper defense tops the MAAC in double plays per game (0.44), while the team's offense leads the conference with 4.50 runs per game. As a team, the Jaspers bat .274 on the year, ranking second in the league, while ranking first in team on-base percentage (.378), hits (356) and RBI (201).Â
NCAA Leader
Pitney will finish the regular season at the top of the NCAA for walks per game and on-base percentage. With two games left, she has already set the Manhattan single-season records for total walks (56), while earning 1.22 walks per game for first in Division I. Pitney ranks second in the nation in on-base percentage, coming in at .623. Her slugging percentage of .768 is 46th in the NCAA and second in the MAAC, while she sits at 34th in the nation with a .420 batting average.
Freshman Phenom
Rookie
Annie Moore (Northridge, CA / El Camino Real) enters Saturday's games with a team-high 38 RBI for the season. She has hit a team-leading 13 doubles and five home runs in 111 at bats this year, batting .387.
About the Saints
Madysen Cossack leads the Siena offense with a MAAC-best .462 batting average and .782 slugging percentage. She has tallied 41 RBI this season, with 55 hits. The Saints combine for a team batting average of .274, striking out just 165 times this year, the lowest in the MAAC. Siena's stable of pitchers holds opponents to a .282 batting average.Â
