2018 All-MAAC Teams | MAAC All-Academic Release
Poughkeepsie, NY - For the second straight season, defender
Emma Kaishian (Yorktown, NY / Yorktown) has been selected to the All-MAAC Second Team Defense, the conference announced on Wednesday evening.
Kaishian earns her second straight All-MAAC Second Team selection and her third All-MAAC selection of her career after she was an All-Rookie in 2016. She becomes the first Jasper to be selected to three straight All-MAAC teams since Megan Yarusso '16 took the same path as Kaishian from 2013-2015.
In 2018, Kaishian ranked in the top 10 amongst her MAAC counterparts in ground balls (39), caused turnovers (23) and draw controls (62). She is the first Jasper in eight years to collect at least 20 caused turnovers in a season and register at least 20 caused turnovers, 30 ground balls and 30 draw controls. On March 24 against Canisius, she secured the 100th ground ball and draw control of her career. Offensively, she added her first career goal on February 24 versus Lafayette.
