RIVERDALE, NY – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its All-Academic Teams on Friday, and two members of the Manhattan College men's squad were selected. Hayden Clarke (Townsville, Australia) and Love Litzell (Ostersund, Sweden) were both honored for their success in the classroom.
This is the second career USTFCCCA All-Academic nod for both Clarke and Litzell. Clarke was selected for the second year in a row, while Litzell previously received the award in 2015.
In order to be eligible for USTFCCCA honors, student-athletes must have a GPA of at least 3.25 and rank among the top 96 (individual) or top 48 (relay) nationally indoors or compete in any round, including the preliminaries, of the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Litzell was 33rd in the hammer throw and Clarke placed 39th in the long jump at the NCAA East Preliminary Round.
