Jaspers Named IWLCA Academic Honor Squad

Riverdale, NY – For the second consecutive season, the Manhattan College women's lacrosse team has been recognized as a Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA).  This award is only open to Division I, II, III and NAIA programs with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.  The Jaspers were one of 311 teams recognized.

The women's lacrosse team's cumulative GPA of 3.44 was the second-highest among all Manhattan squads for the 2016-17 academic year.  The Jaspers placed 10 student-athletes on the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) All-Academic Team.

In addition, Katie Tucker (Gorham, ME) was named to the individual IWLCA Honor Roll on Wednesday.  To be eligible for that team, student-athletes must be a junior, senior or graduate student with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50.
