Poughkeepsie, NY - Senior Christian Santisteban (Miami, FL / Gulliver Prep) was named the MAAC Player of the Year while freshman Fabian Pena (Miami, FL / Calusa Prep) earned Rookie of the Year accolades at the league's annual postseason banquet.

Santisteban Highlights:
* Santisteban, the preseason MAAC Player of the Year, concluded the regular season among the league leaders in average (.376-2nd), hits (71-1st), runs (42-5th), doubles (19-3rd), home runs (7-4th), RBI (45-2nd), walks (30-5th), slugging percentage (.587-1st) and OBP (.462-1st).
* Batted .416 during MAAC play with 25 runs, 37 hits, six home runs, 29 RBI, 16 walks, a .730 slugging percentage and a .509 OBP - all of which paced the team.
* Hit a pair of home runs on Senior Day against Iona and had five over the final three weekends while helping the Jaspers to a 7-2 record during that time.

Pena Highlights:
* Pena took the MAAC by storm as a rookie, ranking among the league-leaders in hitting (.344-5th), doubles (21-1st), RBI (47-2nd), slugging (.579-2nd) and total bases (113-1st) while throwing out 50.0 percent of runners (25-of-50) on the bases.
* 4x MAAC Rookie of the Week winner.
* Hit .355 during MAAC play with nine doubles, two triples, five home runs, 26 RBI, a .656 slugging percentage and a .410 OBP.
Additionally, both Miami natives were also named to the All-MAAC First Team.
Senior Chris Reynolds (Wall, NJ / St. Rose), classmate Michael Scarinci (Nanuet, NY / Pearl River), junior Shawn Kanwisher (Washington Township, NJ / St. Joseph Regional), classmate Joey Rocchietti (Green Brook, NJ / Watchung Hills), sophomore Brendan Bisset (New City, NY / Don Bosco Prep), classmate Tom Cosgrove (Staten Island, NY / Farrell), Adam Genners (So., Jacksonville, FL / Stanton College Prep) and Paul Genners (So., Jacksonville, FL / Stanton College Prep) were all also named to the MAAC All-Academic Team.
Manhattan will open the MAAC Tournament against No. 3 Monmouth on Wednesday, May 25 at 12:00 pm.
