ALBANY, N.Y. – After playing seven of its last eight games at home, Manhattan (9-22; 5-7 MAAC) travels to defending league champion Siena (9-19; 3-3 MAAC) for a crucial three-game series. The teams kick off the series with a doubleheader on Saturday, April 18 at 12 p.m. before concluding weekend play with a single game on Sunday, April 19 at 12 p.m.

Siena Success
The Jaspers took two-of-three from the Saints a year ago and are 7-2 against the Albany-based institution since head coach Jim Duffy took over for the 2012 season. All told, Manhattan has won every series of at least three games between the teams since the 2003 season. The last time Siena won a series was in 2002.
Lucky Number 7
The Jaspers are a perfect 7-0 when leading after seven innings after play.
First-Inning Blues
Manhattan has not scored a run in the first inning in 12-straight games and 17-of-18. All told, the Jaspers have been outscored 42-7 in the first inning of games, including 15-1 during MAAC play.
Last Week Against Quinnipiac
After dropping the first two games to Quinnipiac and falling behind 5-1 in the series finale, Manhattan rallied for a dramatic 6-5 win over its Connecticut-based rival.
Clutch
After going just 4-for-23 (.174) with RISP over the first two games against QU, the Jaspers went 5-for-7 (.714) in the finale.
Kalousdian Krushing It
Senior Chris Kalousdian hit a team-best .538 against Quinnipiac with two doubles, two triples, four RBI and three runs, highlighted by delivering the game-tying two-run hit before scoring the eventual winning run in Sunday's 6-5 victory. He has now hit safely in five straight and 9-of-11.
Twice Is Nice
Kalousdian has notched at least two hits in eight of his last 11 games - hitting .378 (17-for-45) with six runs, five extra-base hits and five RBI during that time - and leads Manhattan with 10 multi-hit games and 19 runs.
Multi-RBI Tex
In the Jaspers' last two MAAC wins, senior Vin Teixeira, who leads the team with nine doubles, has delivered two big hits. His two-run singled helped the Jaspers topple QU while his two-run double was the difference in a 3-2 win vs. Marist.
Captain Clutch (x2)
The duo of Teixeira and senior Joe McClennan is hitting .385 (10-for-26) with runners in scoring position during MAAC play with the rest of the team checking in at just .133 (10-for-75).
Equality
Joe McClennan and junior Christian Santisteban have each recorded a team-high 16 RBI and four multi-RBI games. Santisteban also paces the squad in batting (.259), hits (29), extra-base hits (10), slugging (.375), walks (16) and OBP (.351).
En Fuego
McClennan is hitting .310 (22-of-71) over his last 19 games with three doubles, two home runs and 11 RBI ... Over his last six games, Santisteban, is batting .364 (8-for-22) while hitting safely five times.
Coming Up Big
Joe McClennan is batting a team-best .286 with runners in scoring position, including .455 during MAAC play, and also leads the team with two home runs and 16 RBI. However, his most important contribution has come in the field where he has assumed the role of the team's shortstop in the absence of sophomore Jose Carrera.

McClennan leads Manhattan in all three triple crown categories (.333, 2 HR, 9 RBI) while Kalousdian checks in with a .311 average and a team-high nine runs with Santisteban holding a .302 average, fueled by a team-best eight extra base hits,
Good Things Come To Those Who Wait
Junior Chris Reynolds delivered the eventual game-winning hit with his RBI single in the seventh inning of the Jaspers' 6-5 victory over the Bobcats and in the process notched his first RBI in over a month.
Big Game Brown
Sophomore Evan Brown went 2-for-3 with a RBI and a run while reaching base a season-high three times at Army.
It's Not How You Start ...
Sophomore Matt Forlow has been Manhattan's top hitter over his last seven games, batting a team-best .429 (9-for-21) with team-bests in hits (9), runs (4), doubles (4), slugging (.619) and OBP (.458). Over his first 15 games he was 2-for-35 (.057).
Interesting
Despite missing the last 12 games Carrera continues to lead the MAAC in stolen bases with 15 while ranking 47th nationally.
Bisset Making His Mark
Freshman Brendan Bisset has hit safely in four-of-five while posting a .500 OBP (7-for-14) during that time.
The Pen
Sophomore RHP Shawn Kanwisher earned the win vs. Quinnipiac with 3.0 scoreless innings while classmate RHP Matt Simonetti notched his second save with 2.0 scoreless frames. Kanwisher has a 3.86 ERA with Simonetti checking in at 3.93.
Meyers Dominates
Over his last seven games, junior LHP Casey Meyers has struck out eight while yielding just five hits over 10.1 scoreless innings of work. On the year, he has 10 strikeouts with a 4.05 ERA over 13.1 innings.
JJ In The Pen
Sophomore LHP Joe Jacques has been a force out of the bullpen this season, posting a 2.71 ERA with 16 strikeouts over 13.1 innings in nine games.

The Jaspers recorded their 300th career MAAC victory with a 3-2 win over Marist in the first game of last Saturday's doubleheader. Manhattan is now 301-296 in league games during its 29 years of participation in the MAAC.
“If You're Not First, You're Last”
McClennan crushed a towering two-run home run in game one vs. Marist while etching his name in the school annals, as the blast was the first by a Jasper at Dutchess Stadium (as the home field of the Riverdale-based institution).
McClennan Doing It With The Glove
Joe McClennan earned ESPN #SCTop10 accolades for his impressive barehanded play at Monmouth, checking in at No. 4. He also recently moved over to shortstop and has played at second and third base this year.
Ace Material
Senior LHP Scott McClennan earned a tough no-decision in the series finale at Monmouth, striking out seven while yielding just one earned run on six hits over 9.0 innings. On the year, he is 2-5 with a team-high 34 strikeouts and a 4.53 ERA over 45.2 innings of action.
Like A Rock
Sophomore RHP Joey Rocchietti has gone at least six innings in 16 of his 22 career collegiate starts and is 1-5 with 20 strikeouts and a 4.75 ERA over 47.1 innings this year.
Just A Tune-Up
Both Scott McClennan and Rocchietti worked scoreless innings of relief against Hofstra.
MAAC Domination
Kanwisher, Meyers and freshman RHP Rob Vallone have combined for 11 strikeouts, against just four walks, over 13.0 scoreless innings during MAAC play. Jacques, meanwhile, has 'struggled' in posting a 1.35 ERA with six strikeouts over 6.2 frames.
Hello Hofstra
Freshman LHP Tom Cosgrove set a career-high with seven strikeouts, against no walks, against Hofstra breaking his previous record of six set against ... the Pride. Cosgrove, who leads the team with a 4.41 ERA, has 23 strikeouts and a 4.41 ERA over 32.2 innings. Additionally, against Hofstra he has 13 strikeouts while yielding just one walk.
The Pen
During MAAC play, the Jaspers' bullpen has a 2.43 ERA with 26 strikeouts over 37.0 innings.
Dutchess Stadium
Manhattan opened its 16-game home schedule on Thursday, April 2 against Marist at Dutchess Stadium in Wappingers Falls, N.Y., the new home of Jasper baseball. Home of the short-season class-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays, Dutchess Stadium is used primarily for Hudson Valley Renegades baseball from late June to early September.
2015 MAAC Championship
Manhattan will host the 2015 MAAC Baseball Championship from May 20-24 at Dutchess Stadium.
Preseason Poll
The Jaspers were slated to finish sixth in the annual MAAC Coaches Poll with Canisius (115 points) tabbed to claim the 2015 MAAC Championship. Fairfield (107) was selected to finish second followed by Monmouth (89), Siena (83), Quinnipiac (73), Manhattan (61), Rider (55), Marist (50), Niagara (38), Iona (35) and Saint Peter's (20) 11th.
MAAC Success
Manhattan has qualified for 11 of the last 12 MAAC Tournaments and is 17-17 with three MAAC Championships and two runner-up finishes during that time.
Jaspers In the NCAAs
The Riverdale-based institution is 2-7 in four rips to NCAA Regional Play and finished second at the 2006 Lincoln Regional.
