WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. – Manhattan (8-19; 4-5 MAAC) welcomes Quinnipiac (11-16; 6-3) to Dutchess Stadium for a three-game series this weekend. The teams kick off the series with a doubleheader on Saturday, April 11 at 12 p.m. before concluding weekend play with a single game on Sunday, April 12 at 12 p.m.

Head Coach Jim Duffy is 37-17 at home over his first four seasons with the Jaspers.
Last Year Against Quinnipiac
The Bobcats took two-of-three from Manhattan despite being held a .176 average. Junior Christian Santisteban hit a team-best .455 (5-for-11) with two doubles, four RBI and two runs. Senior LHP Michael Martin also earned MAAC Pitcher of the Week honors after firing a complete game three-hit shutout in the finale while pacing a squad that recorded a 2.84 ERA.

Quinnipiac has won three-straight, six-of-seven and nine-of-13 while winning all three of its MAAC weekends thanks to a balanced offense as well as a deep pitching staff. On offense, the Bobcats are paced by the trio of Scott Donaghue (.333, 6 doubles, 1 HR, 13 RBI), Vincent Guglietti (.292, 6 doubles, 1 triple, 3 HR, 15 RBI) and Mike Palladino (.286, 8 doubles, 11 RBI, 11 SB). On the mound, RHP Thomas Jankins (3-3, 3.43 ERA) and LHP Justin Thomas (3-2, 4.45 ERA) lead the way.

The Jaspers recorded their 300th career MAAC victory with a 3-2 win over Marist in the first game of last Saturday's doubleheader. Manhattan is now 300-294 in league games during its 29 years of participation in the MAAC.
McClennan Mashing
Senior Joe McClennan batted .333 (3-for-9) with a home run and four RBI last weekend against Marist and has hit safely in 11 of his last 14 games. During that time, he is hitting .314 with three doubles, two home runs and nine RBI while raising his average to a team-leading .244.
“If You're Not First, You're Last”
McClennan crushed a towering two-run home run in the series-opener against Marist while etching his name in the school annals, as the blast was the first Jasper home run at Dutchess Stadium (as the home field of the Riverdale-based institution).
On The Year ...
Joe McClennan leads Manhattan in all three triple crown categories (.244 average, 2 HR, 14 RBI) to go along with a team-high four multi-RBI games. Additionally, during MAAC play his average rises to a team-best .290 with both of his long balls coming during that span to go along with a team-high eight RBI.

Joe McClennan earned ESPN #SCTop10 accolades for his impressive barehanded play at Monmouth, checking in at No. 4. He also recently moved over to shortstop and has played at second and third base this year.
Fear The Beard
Senior Vin Teixeira provided what would prove to be the game-winning hit in the Jaspers' thrilling 3-2 come-from-behind win over Marist in the second of last weekend's series. The Manhattan first baseman delivered a two-run, bases-loaded double after going hitless in his previous 17 at-bats. On the year, the Nutmeg State native has a team-best seven doubles to go along with a .220 average.
JJ Earns The Win
Sophomore LHP Joe Jacques earned the lone Jasper win of the weekend against Marist, firing 1.2 innings of one-hit relief to go along with a pair of strikeouts. Over his last six games, he has notched 6.2 scoreless frames, allowing four hits, to go along with eight strikeouts. On the year, 1-1 with one save, 17 strikeouts, against six walks, and a 5.74 ERA over 15.2 innings.
CK Making Noise
Senior Chris Kalousdian has notched multi-hits a team-high seven times while pacing Manhattan with 16 runs. Over his last six games, he is batting .333 (8-for-24) with four multi-hit games.
Mr. Sant Man
Santisteban has a team-high 22 hits and 15 walks and is second in batting (.234), doubles (5), home runs (1) and RBI (11).
Freshmen In Name Only
Freshman Adam Genners hit a team-best .429 (3-for-7) against Marist with two sacrifices while classmate Brendan Bisset earned his first collegiate hit in the finale before going 1-for-2 with two RBI and two walks at Stony Brook.
It's Not How You Start But How You Finish
Sophomore Matt Forlow is 2-for-3 with a run and a RBI after starting out 2-for-35 ... Classmate Jason Patnick is 5-for-11 with three walks after starting 5-for-35.
Meyers Heating Up
Over his last five games, junior LHP Casey Meyers has struck out while allowing just three hits over 7.1 scoreless innings.

Is freshman RHP Rob Vallone, who has struck out four over 5.0 hitless innings of relief over his last two appearances, - including firing 3.0 perfect frames in the series opener against Marist.
Ace Material
Senior LHP Scott McClennan earned a tough no-decision in the series finale at Monmouth, striking out seven while yielding just one earned run on six hits over 9.0 innings. On the year, he leads the Jaspers in wins (2), ERA (3.38), innings (42.2) and strikeouts (31) while limiting opposing hitters to a .282 average.

Scott McClennan is pitching to a 2.25 ERA with 25 strikeouts, against just six walks, over 36.0 innings while limiting opposing hitters to a .264 average.
Like A Rock
Sophomore RHP Joey Rocchietti, like Scott McClennan, earned a no-decision at Monmouth despite allowing just one earned run with five strikeouts over 7.1 innings. He has gone at least six innings in 15 of his 21 career collegiate starts and is 1-4 with 17 strikeouts and a 4.46 ERA over 40.1 innings this year.

On the year, junior Chris Reynolds and senior Mikey Miranda have thrown out 37.7 percent (20-of-53) of runners on the bases.

Sophomore Jose Carrera has a MAAC-best 15 stolen bases while ranking fifth nationally with 0.75 per game.
Scarinci's Return Yields Big Returns
Senior RHP Michael Scarinci earned his second win of the year with 5.0 shutout innings in leading Manhattan to a 7-0 win over Fairfield and a doubleheader sweep. He earned his first victory of the season with 5.0 innings of scoreless relief at FIU and is 2-4 with 10 strikeouts and a 3.94 ERA over 29.2 innings.
Start Me Up
The starting trio of Rocchietti, Scarinci and McClennan struck out 29, against just 12 walks, with a 3.67 ERA over 54.0 innings of work against MAAC opposition this year.
The Pen
During MAAC play, the Jaspers' bullpen has a 2.25 ERA with 20 strikeouts over 24.0 innings.
Streak Snapped
In Manhattan's 2-0 series finale loss to Fairfield, Scott McClennan saw his scoreless streak snapped at 18.2 innings due to a two-out infield single that glanced off his glove.
Dutchess Stadium
Manhattan opened its 16-game home schedule on Thursday, April 2 against Marist at Dutchess Stadium in Wappingers Falls, N.Y., the new home of Jasper baseball. Home of the short-season class-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays, Dutchess Stadium is used primarily for Hudson Valley Renegades baseball from late June to early September.
2015 MAAC Championship
Manhattan will host the 2015 MAAC Baseball Championship from May 20-24 at Dutchess Stadium.
Preseason Poll
The Jaspers were slated to finish sixth in the annual MAAC Coaches Poll with Canisius (115 points) tabbed to claim the 2015 MAAC Championship. Fairfield (107) was selected to finish second followed by Monmouth (89), Siena (83), Quinnipiac (73), Manhattan (61), Rider (55), Marist (50), Niagara (38), Iona (35) and Saint Peter's (20).
MAAC Success
Manhattan has qualified for 11 of the last 12 MAAC Tournaments and is 17-17 with three MAAC Championships and two runner-up finishes during that time.
Jaspers In the NCAAs
The Riverdale-based institution is 2-7 in four rips to NCAA Regional Play and finished second at the 2006 Lincoln Regional.
