MIAMI, Fla. -
After opening the 2015 campaign in the Lone Star State, Manhattan (0-4) returns to action with a four-game series at FIU (4-4) at the FIU Baseball Stadium starting on Friday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m. 

The teams will then play a doubleheader on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 2:00 p.m. before concluding the series with a single game on Sunday, March 1, at 1:00 p.m. Fans can listen to all the action on the FIU Sports Radio Network for free.

PantherVision will stream Friday and Sunday's games for a nominal fee as Saturday's doubleheader can only be heard on the FIU Sports Radio Network.

SERIES:
FIU leads 9-3 with the Panthers sweeping a three-game series in the teams' last match-up in 2013. The last Jasper win in the series came on March 14, 2007 by a 9-8 count as the visitors swept a two-game set. Assistant coach Rene Ruiz was a member of that squad.

* Rocchietti was outstanding in his first start of the year at Lamar, hurling 6.0 innings of one-run ball with two strikeouts.

* The game-two starter has now gone at least 6.0 innings in 12 of his 15 career starts while allowing three earned runs or less in 13 of those starts.

* Senior Vin Teixeira is batting a team-best .444 (4-for-9) after recording a hit in all three of his games last weekend with a pair of doubles. A year ago, Teixeira didn't record a double in 36 games.

* Sophomore Jose Carrera walked six times en route to posting a .500 OBP on the weekend with a pair of stolen bases. Dating back to last season, he has reached safely in 15 of his last 16 games. 

* 2014 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) First Team selection junior Christian Santisteban picked up where he left off a year ago, hitting .333 (5-for-15) against the Cardinals.

* Freshman Ryan Gronlier went 1-for-2 in his collegiate debut while knocking in the lone Manhattan run in a narrow 2-1 loss to Lamar in the second game of last week's season-opening doubleheader.

* Six Jasper players hail from the state of Florida with three calling Miami home. 

* Manhattan will be looking to snap a five-game losing streak in the state of Florida, last defeating No. 23 FGCU by a 6-5 score on March 2, 2013.
 
* DYK? Head coach Jim Duffy got his first collegiate win in the Sunshine State against Florida Atlantic.

ABOUT FIU
* FIU most recently dropped a 12-2 decision at Stetson after going 2-2 at the 16th annual Caravella Resort's Baseball at the Beach Tournament.

* The Panthers are hitting just .221 on the year and are led by freshman Eddie Silva, who checks in with a .333 average to go along with a home run and three RBI.

* On the bump, FIU holds a 3.65 team ERA while holding the opposition to a .258 batting average with a pair of shutouts.
