RIVERDALE, N.Y. - Coming off a 2-0 blanking of NYIT on Wednesday afternoon, Manhattan College's baseball team will take on Seton Hall in a three-game series this weekend in South Orange, N.J.
LAST TIME OUT
Maxx Feldman, Sean Abbate, Chris Liquori and Shawn Kanwisher each pitched brilliantly, keeping the Bears off balance all day, and a two-run Manhattan eighth gave the Jaspers enough offense for the win.
Abbate entered with two outs in the second inning in relief of Feldman, who issued three consecutive walks after getting the first two outs. Abbate promptly struck out Frank Sanacore, beginning his brilliant run of pitching.
Yoandry Galan drove in the eventual winning run with a sacrifice fly in the eighth inning to put the Jaspers ahead and Jose Carrera followed with an RBI groundout to make it 2-0.
LAST YEAR VS. SETON HALL
The Jaspers and Pirates split two games last season at the Strike Out Cancer Challenge at Seton Hall. Manhattan won an epic 2-1, 13th inning contest in the opener, behind a staff that allowed just six hits in the game.
