BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Manhattan rallied from a 12-point first-half deficit to defeat Fordham 71-57 in the Battle of the Bronx at the Barclays Center on Monday night. Postgame Notes:
* Former New York City Mayor and 1965 Manhattan College graduate Rudy Giuliani was in attendance along with his son Andrew.
* Manhattan, which is now 2-1, all-time, at the Barclays Center, improved to 56-51 in the all-time series, which dates back to 1911-1912.
* The Jaspers avenged last year's loss to win for the 10th time in the last 14 meetings dating back to the 2001-2002 season.
* Nine of the last 10 Manhattan victories in the series have come by double-figures. Just 10 of the Jaspers' first 46 wins in the series came by double-figures.
* Steve Masiello is now 3-1 against Fordham as the Jaspers' head coach after going 4-0 against the Rams as an assistant coach from 2001-2005.
* Andujar won the MVP Award for the second time in his career after claiming the John "Doc" Johnson Most Valuable Player Award as a freshman.
* Andujar is averaging 10.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game in four career match-ups with Fordham on 61.5 percent (16-for-26) shooting from the floor.
* The win snaps a four-game losing streak to Atlantic 10 schools with the last previous Manhattan win coming in last season's opener.
* Fordham's Eric Paschall, who came into the game leading all freshmen in scoring in the Division I ranks, was limited to just seven points, on 2-of-8 shooting.
* Junior Shane Richards (New York, N.Y. / York Prep) converted 4-of-6 from long distance for the second-straight game en route to 12 points while classmate Ashton Pankey (Bronx, N.Y. / Maryland) also notched 12 points.
* The trio of Andujar, Richards and Pankey all notched double-figures in scoring in the same game for the first time this season.
* The Jaspers shot a season-high 50.0 percent (9-for-18) from long range and have made 18 triples over their last two games after converting just 13 in their first four games of the month.
* Senior Donovan Kates (Hopkinsville, Ky. / Christian County) returned to action after missing the last game due to injury and scored eight points. Over four career games against Fordham, Kates is averaging 9.8 points each time out while making good on 46.7 percent (7-of-15) from long range.
* Led by Kates, the second unit outscored its counterparts by a 21-12 margin.
* Freshman Zane Waterman (Winston Salem, N.C. / Fayetteville Academy) scored a career-high seven points.
* Manhattan was 10-for-12 from the line over the final two minutes after going 8-for-10 over the final three-plus minutes in its win over Morgan State.
* The Jaspers finished up non-conference play with a 3-6 record, which included four losses to schools from the ACC (Pitt), Big Ten (Rutgers), Atlantic 10 (UMass, George Mason) by less than 10 points.
