RIVERDALE, N.Y. - ESPN.com's Jeff Goodman recently highlighted men's basketball head coach Steve Masiello as one of the toughest head coaches to recruit against in college basketball.
In a column available to ESPN.com Insider subscribers, Goodman says that Masiello "was always known as one of the top recruiters when he worked for Rick Pitino, and he still works like an assistant, despite his move up. He doesn't settle, and tries to fight programs a notch higher for kids." Masiello is the highest-ranked coach in the MAAC on Goodman's list.
Fresh off a weeklong foreign tour of the Bahamas, the Jaspers will begin the 2013-14 season on Saturday, November 9 at La Salle in Philadelphia.
