RIVERDALE, N.Y. - Three Manhattan men's basketball players earned a spot on the 2012 MAAC All-Academic Team for their success in the classroom. Senior guard Liam McCabe-Moran (New Rochelle, N.Y.) junior center Kevin Laue (Pleasanton, Calif.) and sophomore forward Torgrim Sommerfeldt (Drammen, Norway) each received the prestigious academic award. The Jaspers placed the most players on the MAAC All-Academic Team among all 10 league members.
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, student-athletes must have completed at least two semesters at their institution and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher.
