2011 Postseason Guide
RIVERDALE, N.Y. - The Manhattan College baseball team will begin its run for the 2011 MAAC Championship on Thursday as the top-seeded Jaspers face #4 Canisius (25-30, 12-10 MAAC) in an opening round match up at Waterfront Park in Trenton, N.J. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. Jasper fans can listen to all of Manhattan's MAAC Tournament games live at GoJaspers.com.
Manhattan (31-17, 20-2 MAAC) won the program's third MAAC Regular-Season Championship in the last four years after blowing through the conference slate. The Jaspers .909 conference win percentage was the highest in program history and it tied for the second highest in the MAAC dating back to 1989. #2 Rider and #3 Siena round out the four team field and they will square off in the 7 p.m. contest on Thursday.
The MAAC Champion will earn the league's automatic bid to the 2011 NCAA Tournament.
