Edison, N.J. ? Albert Johnson III of Manhattan College was named MAAC Men's Outdoor Track Performer of the Week, the MAAC announced today.
Johnson, a freshman, competed in three events at the Larry Ellis Invitational at Princeton University. He was the top collegiate finisher in the long jump with an NCAA qualifying mark of 7.39-meters. He also won the overall triple jump gold medal with a 14.46-meter mark. To round out his weekend, he finished 11th in the 200-meter dash, with a time of 21.96 seconds.
The MAAC Men's and Women's Outdoor Track Championships will be held on Saturday and Sunday, May 2 and 3, at Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.
