Women's Swim Team Tops NJIT and VMI, But Loses to Mt. St. Mary's

Running this season's dual meet record to 3-1, the Manhattan College women's swim team topped New Jersey Institute of Technology 56-33 and Virginia Military Academy 54-31, but lost to Mt. St. Mary's 52-43 in a quad-meet held at Saint Peter's over the weekend.  The Lady Jaspers were led by sophomore Bridget Latino, who took home three first place finishes.

Latino's three wins came in the 100 fly and 200 and 500 free events; the win in the 500 free came in the last yard, just two events after she had won the 100 fly.  She won the 100 fly in 2:04.90; won the 200 free in 1:02.20; and won the 500 free in 5:34.96.

Other top Lady Jasper performances on the day included:

A second place finish in the 50 free by Catherine Chan, who raced in 26.54; a third place finish in the 200 medley relay team of Rebecca Schwartz, Kayla Hutzle, Kellie Monaco and Chan in 2:03.24; a third place finish by Hutzler in the 200 IM in 2:29.62 and a third place finish in the 100 free by Nadine Maher (59.54).
