Riverdale, N.Y. (May 27, 2008) ? Fourteen members of the Manhattan College Track and Field team are preparing this week to take part in the NCAA Regional Outdoor Track and Field Championships to be held this Friday and Saturday on the campus of Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida.
On the women's side, Diane Torsell will take part in three events ? the 100 and 200 meter dashes and the 4 x 100 meter relay. Freshmen Siri Fagerlund and Jackie Hargrove and sophomore Malin Marmbrandt will take part in two events each ? Fagerlund in the 100 meter hurdles and the 4 x 100m relay, Hargrove in the 400 meter dash and the 4 x 100m relay and Marmbrandt in the long and triple jump events.
Additionally, sophomore Alexandra McDougall will compete in the pole vault, freshman Marina Vojinovic will take part in the shot put, junior Sarah Rogers will run in the 3000 meter steeplechase and freshman Katelin Savage will run in the 4 x 100 meter relay.
On the men's side, junior Kosta Randjic will be competing in both the javelin throw and the triple jump, while senior Paul Peulich and sophomore Seid Mujanovic will compete in the hammer throw; senior Dexter Jules will be in the triple jump, Chris Sole will be in the high jump and Milos Vuckovic will be running in the 3000K steeplechase.
