Riverdale, N.Y. (May 17, 2008) ? Manhattan College's Paul Peulich and Seid Mujanovic grabbed second and fifth place respectively in the hammer throw on the second day of the IC4A Outdoor Track and Field Championships being held in Princeton, N.J., while Nikolay Tkachenko set a school record in the pole vault at the meet..
Peulich, a senior, grabbed silver with a hammer throw mark of 63.29m; sophomore Mujanovic's fifth place mark went 62.29m. Senior Tkachenko's school record setting vault was 4.95m, breaking the previous record by five centimeters. He finished 10th overall at the meet.
Also at the IC4As, junior Kelton Cumberbatch set a personal record in the 400m hurdle event, finishing 16th in 52.89.
Meantime, on the women's side -- at the ECAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships also held in Princeton ? sophomore Diane Torsell sprinted a season best 12.10 in the 100m dash to finish 18th overall. She also posted a personal record 200m time of 24.94, finishing 28th overall.
Additionally, sophomore Malin Marmbrandt posted a long jump mark of 5.49m to finish 22nd overall.
