MCGEE QUALIFIES FOR ECAC IN THE 1000M

New York, NY (February 27, 2004)-The Jaspers competed at the NYU Last Chance at the Armory in New York, NY. Rachel McGee qualified for the ECAC in the 1000m finishing the race in 2:56.97. Adeniyi Omisore took first place in the Triple Jump leaping 15.23m. Jenna Daly broke both the school and her personal record in the Pole Vault vaulting 3.50m.

Other Lady Jaspers that competed well were, Teresa Frierson who ran the 500m in a personal best time of 1:13.24, Julia Audette who placed fourth in the Triple Jump jumping her personal best 10.69m. Karin Larsson also competed well taking second place in the Triple Jump jumping 11.06m and in the Shot Put throwing 13.08m.

On the men's side, Anders Constantin competed in the Shot Put breaking his personal best throwing 15.77m. Janek Augustynowicz took second place in the Long Jump jumping 7.22m.

Selected Jaspers compete next weekend, March 6-7, at the IC4A Championships that will be held at the Boston Armory. Lady Jaspers, who qualified, will also compete next weekend in the ECAC Championships that will be held at the Reggie Lewis Center.
