EDISON, N.J. - Following a stellar freshman year campaign, Manhattan University women's lacrosse freshman
Ella Brunette has secured spots on both the All-MAAC Second Team and All-Rookie Team, according to a press release announced by the conference Friday morning.
The midfielder scored 39 goals and added two assists for a grand total of 41 points across 17 games, 16 of which she started.
Hailing from Brighton, New York, Brunette led her Manhattan teammates in goals (39), points (41), shots (88), and shots on goal (63). In addition, her eight caused turnovers were good enough for third place amongst her teammates, while her 41 draw controls were second only to
Audrey Ziff (104).
Serving as the team's offensive life-force, the newcomer scored in all but one of her 17 games played, recording two or more goals in 11 games, and logging a hat trick in seven. Brunette's game-high of five was achieved twice during the season, starting against Central Connecticut State (Mar. 7) in the Jaspers first win of 2026. She later matched that total against Quinnipiac (Mar. 28).
Brunette is the first Manhattan player to receive All-MAAC Second Team recognition since
Andrea Liotta did so as a defender in 2024. She is the first offensive player to make an All-MAAC team since 2021 (Grace Lipponer), and first midfielder since 2019 (Caitlin Murphy). She is also the first member of the Green and White since 2022 to make the All-Rookie Team (Clare McCooe).
