SPRINGFIELD, PA – The Manhattan Jaspers Men's Golf team took part in the Columbia Spring Invitational from Rolling Green Golf Club on Monday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Jaspers continued right where they left off nearly 48 hours ago with a strong start to the opening round in the Keystone State, with Cabell Faulkner posting five straight pars to open the invitational, before landing a birdie on the sixth and seventh holes.
- Patrik Vinter, Aidan Talent, and Jimmy Veale also added birdies through the front nine, on the seventh hole.
- On the back nine of the first round, the Green and White continued its strong play with Walter Carley and Veale netting a birdie on the 16th hole, while spraying par across the back half of the round.
- During the second round, the Jaspers added to their strong opening round score, with Aidan Talent pacing the team with four birdies, and started the second round with par in five of the first six holes.
- Faulkner continued his strong play with birdies on the seventh and eighth holes, before adding a birdie on the 17th and 18th holes.
- Adding to the commanding third-place finish was Akshay Mandadapu, who netted par on ten of the 18 holes and supplied three birdies along the way.
NEXT UP
The Jaspers return to the greens for the penultimate tournament of the 2025-26 season, with the Green and White taking part in the Sharks Invitational, hosted by LIU on Monday and Tuesday, April 13 and 14, respectively, from the Nassau Country Club in Glen Cove, on Long Island.
