Men’s Soccer Welcomes Four Newcomers For 2025 Season

RIVERDALE, NY — Manhattan Men's Soccer Head Coach Tom Giovatto has announced four newcomers to the Jaspers program ahead of the 2025 season, on Wednesday afternoon. They include Brandon Guidotti, Martin Rodriguez, Ibrahima Keita, and John Lips.

Brandon Guidotti – Forward – Smithtown, NY/Smithtown East

Prior to College: Played Varsity Soccer for three years at Smithtown East … Totaled 20 goals and logged 10 assists … All-State, League Four MVP, League Champion, Team Captain, Suffolk All-Star … Named Exceptional Senior … Club was Long Island Slammers … Majoring in Business.

Why Guidotti Chose Manhattan: "Family members came here, and the coaching staff."

Martin Rodriguez – Forward, Amsterdam, Netherlands/Collège du Léman

Prior to College: Club team was Yverdon Sport FC…Majoring in Economics.

Why Rodriguez Chose Manhattan: "It's an amazing university at an amazing location."

Ibrahima Keita – Midfielder – Den Haag, Netherlands

Prior to College: Club was Thes Sporr...Majoring in Accounting.

Why Keita Chose Manhattan: "It's the perfect mix of athletics and academics in New York."

John Lips – Defender – Stony Brook, NY

Prior to College: Played Varsity Soccer for four years at Ward Melville … Tallied eight goals and four assists during 12th Grade … All-Conference … Club was Long Island Slammers … Majoring in Finance

Why Lips Chose Manhattan: "I get to play Division I soccer while living in New York City. The team has great coaches and a strong program that will help me grow as a player."
