EDISON, N.J. - In anticipation for the upcoming women's basketball season, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference officially released the full conference schedule for all 13 teams. Each institution will play 20 conference games, with an even split of 10 home and 10 on the road.
Every team will receive two "byes" on a regularly scheduled conference game day. In addition, every team will have an unbalanced schedule, playing four of the other 12 members only one time. These four games will have an even split of two at home, with two non-return road contests.
For the Jaspers' non-return games, they will travel to Sacred Heart on January 29 and Siena on February 7. The other end will be completed at home against Mount St. Mary's on January 14 and Merrimack on February 21.
Opening weekend for Manhattan in the MAAC will take place on Friday, December 19 when they travel to Quinnipiac. The Green and White will open the home conference schedule against Fairfield at Draddy Gymnasium shortly before the New Year on Monday, December 29.
Cross-county foe Iona will come to Riverdale on January 31 to kick off the historic rivalry, followed by completing the series in New Rochelle on February 26.
Times for conference games will be announced by the MAAC at a later date.
The women's ESPNU game will also be announced by the conference at a later date.
The men's and women's MAAC basketball tournament will once again be held at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. Opening round action will commence on Thursday, March 5, with the championship culminating on Monday, March 9.
