BROOKLYN, NY – Manhattan Men's and Women's Swimming continued its 2025-26 season against the Sharks of LIU and Red Flash of Saint Francis (PA) University inside the Steinberg Wellness Center on the campus of Long Island University – Brooklyn but fell to both teams by a respective score of 124-42, and 179-33, while the men fell to LIU 171-83 on Saturday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE WOMEN
· In the 200 Yard Medley Relay, the Jaspers quartet of Elle Feneide, Leticia Fontes, Jaila Williamson, and Sophia Leber combined for a final time of 2:00.69 for a fourth-place finish
· Just a few seconds after the two-minute mark, it was Feneide in the Women 200 Yard Freestyle with a final time of 2:04.74, and lap average of 29.15.
· In the Women 50 Yard Freestyle, Jaila Williamson logged a 25.39 finals time. Additionally, Williamson added a point to the Jaspers' scoresheet.
HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE MEN
· In the 200 Yard Medley Relay, the Jaspers posted a third-place finish behind the quartet of Abelardo Cartagena, Sean Garvey, Gavin Harding, and Jonathan Carsen, after posting a time of 1:42.17.
· Behind the above student-athletes, were Ibrahim Mohammad, Ryan Carsen, Campbell Heiz, and Myles Brown with a fourth-place finish and final time of 1:46.89.
· In the 1000 Yard Freestyle, it was Ibrahim Mohammad who recorded a team best 10:58.20, good for third place in the individual event.
· Gavin Harding paced the Green and White in the Men 200 Yard Freestyle with a final time of 1:53.88.
· Tristan Ehrhardt was one of three student-athletes in the meet to complete the relay in under one minute, where he registered a final time of 56.42. He additionally grabbed a couple of points with a finals time of 49.65 in the Men 100 Yard Freestyle event.
· In the Men 200 Yard Butterfly, Cartegena finished just behind the top point getter from LIU, with a finals time of 2:04.69.

The Green and White are back in action on Thursday, November 6, when the Jaspers face off against the Hawks of Monmouth University from the Richard E. Steadman Natatorium in West Long Branch.
