  • Finishing fifth overall was sophomore Mikaella Martin, who again, paced the Jaspers with a time of 20:49.9.
  • Junior Bailee Christofis logged a time of 22:54.7, just .4 seconds behind Riders' Dauberman for a 46th place finish.
  • Just behind the junior, was her teammate Julia Hendricks, who posted a 22:56.8 time.
  • Freshman Paula Pallares opened her first collegiate conference championships with a time of 23:27.0.
  • On the Men's side, it was senior Adrian Alonso who paced the Green and White in the 8000m run, with a time of 25:36.6.
  • Sophomore Joshua Mingoia added a time of 26:18.0 to the Manhattan ledger on the afternoon.

QUOTES FROM THE JASPERS

Head Coach Todd Witzleben: "For both the men and women, the plan heading into MAACs was to race the last 2 miles aggressively and become known around the conference as a tough team to compete against. Both teams executed the race plan very well.

The women had their best performance of the season by far and finished above the expectations. Mikaella [Martin] was 53rd here last year and earned all-conference honors today with her 5th place finish in a new PR. Five of our women earned a new PR today to help our team move up to 9th place after placing 11th last fall.

Adrian [Alonso] led the men with his 41st place finish. His performance was also a PR. We packed up well behind him. The guys worked together over the second half of the race to move up. We only had six guys race today, so we didn't have much margin for error. The men raced hard to earn 10th place finish as a team.
