HOW IT HAPPENED
  • A dual block from Emma Francesconi and Abby Morreale tied the first set at five apiece, with a service ace from Francsconi doing so once more at 8-8.
  • Another service ace from Hanna Kaczynska saw the Green and White take a late lead at 22-20, but Siena tallied five of the last six to take the set.
  • Midway through the second set, Manhattan ripped off five consecutive points, with Abby Morreale joining Francsconi and Kaczynska with kills on the first three.
  • Emilia Kuzniar tied the set at 18-all, but another late surge from the Saints staved off their opponents to take a commanding 2-0 lead.
  • Falling behind initially, the Jaspers found themselves in a tie at 13 about halfway through, with Francesconi and Kaczynska combining for five kills.
  • Even with an early 7-3 advantage for the Red Foxes, the Jaspers continued to claw their way back into the third set, as more attack errors gave the Green and White a late 20-19 lead.
  • Fighting back within two late, a Doga Diraz kill ended the afternoon in straight sets.
