Riverdale, NY—The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced last month that it will be changing the format for the 2025 MAAC ESPORTS Championships. Previously, the championships were held in Atlantic City at the Showboat Hotel simultaneously with the basketball championships.
This year's championships will be in a hybrid format, with the first two rounds online and the last two in person. With the move out of Atlantic City, the semifinals and finals will take place at Contender Gaming Center in Hudson Valley. The final two rounds will take place March 29th and 30th.Â
With less than two months left in the regular season the Jaspers 4 competing teams, Overwatch, Valorant, Super Smash Brothers, and Rocket League, sit top 5 in the conference. The MAAC Tournament will start on March 13th for the first round of Valorant.Â
