Vulin adds Transfer Guards Hana Muhl & Brianna Davis to 2024-25 Roster

Head coach Heather Vulin is pleased to announce the additions of Hana Muhl and Brianna Davis to the 2024-25 Manhattan women's basketball roster.

"We are very excited to welcome Hana and Brianna to our Jasper family this upcoming season," said Vulin. "They both started their collegiate journey elsewhere, but their prior experiences have helped them grow and develop into team first, extremely talented basketball players that compete on both ends of the floor."

Hana Muhl is a sophomore transfer from Ball State who comes from a basketball family. Most notably, her older sister, Nika, was drafted by the Seattle Storm as the 14th overall pick in 2024 WNBA Draft. Additionally, Hana has been selected to represent her home country of Croatia in the FIBA U20 Women's EuroBasket held in Sofia, Bulgaria from July 6-14.

By coming to Manhattan Muhl reunites with two fellow Croatians, sisters Petra and Kristina Juric, which should further enhance the Jaspers' chemistry on the court.

Muhl's international experience is noteworthy. Having been selected to the Croatian National Teams from U14 to U18, Muhl has excelled on the global stage. Her contributions were instrumental in securing two U19 National Championships in 2019 and 2021, as well as leading her U17 team to a national title in 2019. Muhl's individual excellence has been recognized with honors such as All-Star Five in 2021 and 2020, as well as being named a Blue Star 30 Europe participant in 2019 which helps gain exposure to college coaches in the United States for European players.

In 2019, Muhl was crowned the Most Valuable Player of the U17 WABA League Championship, further highlighting her impact on the court. She posted averages of 12.9 points, 4.8 assists, 5.6 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game that season.

During her two years playing for Ball State, Muhl helped the Cardinals set a program-record of 28 wins in a single season which they achieved in 2023-24.

"We recruited Hana years ago due to her extensive overseas experience playing for numerous Croatian National teams and we fell in love with her ability to make teams better, her competitiveness and her physical style of playing," said Vulin. "We developed a strong relationship with her in the recruiting process and are thrilled that Riverdale felt like home for the next two years."

Brianna Davis is a Bronx native who arrives at Manhattan from Queens College (D2) and before that Cardinal Spellman High School. Davis is a skilled scorer who showcases tenacity in her game.

In her freshman year, Davis earned accolades such as ECC Rookie of the Year, ECC Third Team All-Conference Honors, and a spot on the All-Met Second Team. Davis will look to add another spark to Manhattan's rotation, coming off a season where she rallied five double-doubles and career-high performances in scoring (31) and rebounding (10) which both came against Mercy University.

During her sophomore year at Queens, Davis continued to shine, earning a place on the All-Met Second Team while showcasing her scoring prowess by tallying 409 points on the season, good for an average of 15 points per game.

Next season will not be Davis' first time playing in Draddy, after she scored 14 points for Queens in a 68-42 win for Manhattan in the season opener.

"We were very familiar with her scoring ability and defensive mindset," Vulin said. "We are excited that she felt that Riverdale was home for the next two years."

With the likes of Muhl and Davis on board, as well as the addition of other reinforcements still to come, the Jaspers are poised for success as they aim to compete against the top opponents in the MAAC. Manhattan has continued to develop a winning culture, having advanced to the MAAC Championship Game in two of the last three seasons.

"We believe both young women make us significantly better and are perfect fits for our program, and we believe they will be integral pieces to compete for championships," said Vulin.
