LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. – The Manhattan track and field team competed at the Rider Invitational this afternoon.
Bella Cannizzo captured first place in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:29.01.
Bailee Christofis placed third as she clocked a time of 11:4.68.
Andria Scaglione took third in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:32.27.
Kylie Conroy also grabbed a third-place finish, for her it was in the 5,000 meters.
Martina Martinez hurdled her way to a time of 15.76 in the 100mh for eighth place. She then earned a third-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:05.00.
Makayla Dorvil placed fourth in the women's triple jump with a bound of 11.03 meters (36-02.25).
Kristin Stickdorn was impressive again, this week in the discus throw, she registered a mark of 42.65 meters (139-11).
Mary Gill places fifth in the discus throw with a mark of 35.51m (116-06) and
Alexandra Caraher placed sixth with a mark of 35.42 meters (116-02).
Stickdorn also won the hammer throw with a distance of 60.03 meters (196-11). Gill was third with a toss of 53.29 meters (174-10) and Caraher fifth with a distance of 51.01 meters (167-4).
In the women's shot put, Stickdorn recorded a distance of 12.86 meters (42-02.25) for a third-place showing.
The Jaspers went 1-2 in the men's 400 meters and also captured fifth and seventh place to take 4 out of the 8 scoring spots.
Noah Jefferson won the event with a time of 48.62, followed by
Darion Lopez's time of 49.30 for second place as they were both in heat 1.
Shane McCorry placed 10
th in the 200 meters with a time of 22.62.
Jaxon Newton placed ninth in the 5,000 meters in a time of 15:21.90.
Brendan Lucey raced to a time of 10:26.23 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
The 4x100-meter relay team of
Thomas Dubnov Raz, Jefferson,
Brian Oduor, and Lopez won the event in a time of 41.33.
Rushil Balakumar placed eighth in the pole vault with a heigh of 3.50 meters (11-5.75).
Alex Biello placed sixth in the long jump with a mark of 6.93 meters (22-9).
Peter Athanailos earned a fourth-place finish in the shot put with a mark of 14.1 meters (46-11.5) which he tallied on his third attempt of the day. He then placed third in the shot put with a mark of 41.94 meters (137-7).
RJ Decker won the hammer throw with a toss of 64.67 meters (212-2) – over 35 feet more than second place.
Joseph Pelio placed fifth in the event with a mark of 50.02 meters (164-1).
Lewis Forster won the javelin with a throw of 54.09 meters (177-5).
