BERLIN, MD - Manhattan participated in the Battle at Rum Pointe this weekend, finishing in 10th out of the 18 participating schools.
The team shot a 318 (+30) on a day one that featured brutal weather, including 30 mph winds and 50 mph gusts. On day two Manhattan shot a 301 (+13), improving by 17 strokes.
Colby Norton finished 14th individually, shooting 78 (+6) in round one, followed by a team best 71 (-1), round in day two.
Ashley Sewell contributed with a T20 finish, shooting 77 (+5) on day one, and 74 (+2) on day two. Sewell had two eagles this weekend, coming on hole 13 in round one and hole 3 in round two.
Walter Carley climbed the leaderboard on day two for the Jaspers, shooting a 75 (+3) on the final day of the tournament.
La Salle won the tournament shooting 590 (+14), while Ben Battye was the individual champion, shooting 137 (-7) for the Travelers in the tournament.
Up Next: The Jaspers take the course again next weekend in the South Jersey Kick Off, taking place from April 5-7th.
