RIVERDALE, N.Y. – Head Coach
Heather Vulin is pleased to announce the seventh member of the 2022-2023 signing class, with Dejah Jenkins joining the Jaspers for the upcoming campaign.
Jenkins arrives in Riverdale after spending four years in New Britain as a member of the Central Connecticut State University women's basketball program.
"We are very excited to add Dejah Jenkins to our roster," said Vulin. "She is a seasoned veteran who has demonstrated success on the court, in the classroom, and as a leader. We love her athleticism, versatility, and ability to make an impact on both sides of the floor."
During her time in New Britain, Jenkins averaged 7.5 points a game while grabbing 2.9 rebounds a game. During her senior year as a Blue Devil, Jenkins averaged 9.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.7 assists while starting in all 29 games the Blue Devils played in. Jenkins cleared the double-figured mark in 14 games, including a career-high 19 points against the Red Flash of Saint Francis on Jan. 8 of this year. Jenkins is also a three-time NEC Prime Performer last season.
A high school graduate of Cathedral High School in Dorchester, Mass, Jenkins is a three-time state champion and amassed an impressive 1,600 career points in her high school career.
