ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - Continuing the 2026 MAAC Championship in Atlantic City, the #8 Manhattan Jaspers look to get a quarterfinal win against the Bobcats from #1 Quinnipiac. Leading Manhattan in the points category has been Senior guard
Brianna Davis, averaging 15.7 points a night, including a Division I high of 30 points at Iona. Her scoring average puts her in fourth place across the MAAC. Senior guard Hana Mühl has helped spread the rock, with a nightly average of 4.5 holding second place in the MAAC. On the defensive end, Graduate forwards
Colette Mulderig and Agar Farrés Garcia have helped anchor that end of the floor, with the former's 1.5 average on blocks putting her in second place across the MAAC, while the latter's 8.4 rebound average puts her in a tie for third. The Jaspers will look to stay alive before seeing the winner of #4 Iona vs. #5 Siena on Sunday with a win (Mar. 8).
Scouting the Opposition:
•After starting the 2025-26 season 5-4 in non-conference play, the Quinnipiac Bobcats finished the regular season 19-1 in the MAAC slate.
•Quinnipiac won every single conference game on their schedule besides their home tilt with Fairfield on Feb. 14.
•Four players average double figures for the Bobcats, led by Graduate guard Jackie Grisdale (12.7), and her supporting cast of Senior forward Ella O'Donnell (11.4), Freshman guard Ella Ryan (10.1), and Junior guard Karson Martin (10.0).
•Senior guard Sydney Ryan is leading the team in rebounding, posting a 5.7 nightly average.
•Junior guard Paige Girardi has spread the wealth the most on offense, posting 3.1 assists per game.
•Quinnipiac was selected to finish second in this year's edition of the MAAC Preseason Poll, eventually clinching a share of the regular season championship.
•The Bobcats come off a 2024-25 season where they finished 28-5, going 18-2 inside the MAAC.
•After finishing as runner-up in the 2025 MAAC Championship following a loss to top-seeded Fairfield, Quinnipiac accepted an invite to the WBIT, losing its opening round game to Seton Hall 57-40.
