RIVERDALE, N.Y. – The future of Manhattan baseball is bright with
Dave Miller at the helm. Miller is thrilled to announce the incoming class of Jaspers.
Miller owns one of the top classes in all the land, with Perfect Game ranking the class as the 63rd best in the nation, right between Cincinnati and Florida Gulf Coast. Manhattan is also the only MAAC school to find itself in the top 100.

VINCE DAVIS
Vince Davis is a 3B/RHP/IF with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Somerdale, NJ who attends Highland. Strong athletic build. Right-handed hitter hits from a straight stance with a low hand load, has good rhythm building into his swing, has quick hands and a smooth swing and plenty of strength at impact, works gap to gap with plenty of carry, and creates plenty of barrel whip. 7.21 runner in the sixty. Has the same long and whippy arm action and a high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 85 mph, mostly straight, curveball showed some depth to it.
Davis was first-team all-conference, first-team all-group three, first-team all-south jersey, a Carpenter Cup selection and flexed his power in a game at Citizens Bank Park, where he smacked a home run 475 feet.
CHASE SWAIN
Swain arrives in Riverdale after playing under Miller at Penn State Abington. While at Abbington, Swain racked up the accolades, earning United East Rookie of the Year, All-United East 1st Team, D3Baseball.com Region 4 Rookie of the Year, D3Baseball.com All-Region 4 1st Team, and ABCA/Rawlings All-Region 4 1st Team. During his one year at Abington, Swain did nothing short of rake. Finishing with a batting average of .404, 17 doubles, nine long balls and 45 RBI. Swain also owned the base paths, swiping 18 bags.
GEORGE TRIMIGLIOZZI
Trimigliozzi, a native of Long Island, will come to Riverdale after a decorated high school career. A top-500 high school player in the country, Trimigliozzi is a two-time preseason All-American and All-Region selection in the Northeast region. On the mound, his fastball has been clocked as high as 88 mph.
DOMINIC MIRANDA
Miranda will arrive in Riverdale set to work behind the dish. Miranda is a two-time preseason All-American, a top-500 recruit in the nation, and a high school gold glove winner. He is ranked a top five catcher in the state as well as excelling in the classroom, being honored with the scholar award.
RYAN BRADER
Brader will join the Jaspers pitching staff by the way of Lititz, Pa. His fastball touches the low to mid 90's with it clocking in at 94 at his best. Brader was named a preseason All-American by both Perfect Game and Baseball Factory.
ANTHONY HUTCHINS
Anthony Kai Hutchins is 2023 OF/LHP with a 5-8 155 lb. frame from Browns Mills, NJ who attends Pemberton Twp. Smaller frame with present athleticism and room to strengthen. Ran a 6.97-second 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder worked out in the outfield with a good round, attacks the ball well and funnels it cleanly with a very quick transfer and release using arm strength up to 81 mph to create good throws to the bag. Secondary left-handed pitcher, uses good arm speed and a clean arm action through a high three-quarters slot to attack the zone with a developing feel to spin a firm curveball with late tilt. Left-handed hitter, sets up open in his stance, gets inside the ball at times generating good backside contact, but turned on it well for most of the round with solid line drive contact to the pull side. Outstanding student. Named to 2020 Mid-Atlantic Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
A time-two all-state selection, two-time Burlington County All-Star, two-time Burlington County Hitter of the Year, two-time preseason All-American and a top-three outfielder in the state of New Jersey.
ANDREW BROWN
Andrew Brown is a 2023 RHP/1B with a 6-4 215 lb. frame from Newtown, PA who attends Council Rock North. Big and strong athletic build. Works exclusively from the stretch, will throw in hesitations and pauses to give hitters a different look, high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball worked in the mid-80's and topped out at 87 mph, gets some heaviness and sinks down in the zone, tends to flatten out higher in the zone. Curveball was his best pitch this outing, has sharp biting action with big 11/5 depth at times, has plus feel for locating the pitch,West and will throw it with intent to both sides of the plate, will throw his curveball at any point in the count. Excellent student. Named to the Northeast Academic Showcase Top Prospect List.
A Perfect Game Preseason All-American in the Northeast Region, Brown as also a member of the 2022 WWBA All-Tournament team. He is a state champion in Pennsylvania as well as a two-time PBR State Game Participant.
BRANT VICINI
Vicini, a right-handed pitcher out of Westwood, NJ. A 2023 honorable mention for the all-league team last season, he finished top-10 in the state in saves while also being a member of the All-Tournament Team at a Perfect Game tournament out on Staten Island.
JOSIAH BROWN
Josiah Brown is a 2023 SS/MIF with a 5-10 195 lb. frame from North Plainfield, NJ who attends St. Joseph. Athletic, well-proportioned frame with a strong lower half and room to fill out. Recorded a 6.98 second sixty-yard dash time. A primary shortstop with smooth, fluid actions throughout the fielding process. Displayed a quick first step to laterally range well to either side, a clean funnel out in front and the ability to change arm angles when necessary. Works downhill through the baseball and recorded online, accurate throws up to 90 mph across the diamond. Switch-hitter with a simple, repeatable stroke from both sides of the plate with good separation into launch, good feel for the barrel and plenty of present bat speed. Displayed slightly more power from the right side with more natural lift and carry. From the left side he stays through the middle-of-the field consistently, impacting the baseball on a line from gap to gap. Fundamentally sound overall skill set with quick-twitch athleticism and legitimate switch-hitting skills. Good Student. Named to the 2022 Northeast Top Prospect Games Top Prospect List.
MATTHEW CORWIN
Corwin joins the Jaspers from Rutherford, N.J. Corwin earned a tri of varsity letters from St. Peter's Prep while being named to First Team All-County. Helped lead his high school team to a 2022 Hudson County Championship while being named a team captain the following year. Crowin was selected to take part in the Garden State Games. A recipient of 9 Perfect Game All-Tournament awards, it was capped off by a 2023 Preseason Regional All-American selection.
CARTER COWBURN
A right-handed pitcher out of Hughesville, Pa, Coburn's fastball has clocked in at 89 mph. An Atlantic Region Preseason All-American and top-500 player in the nation, Cowburn is the recipient of multiple PG awards.
JOSEPH DUFFIELD
A native of Delran, N.J, Duffield is a right-handed pitcher who has touched 90 and will help bolster the Manhattan pitching staff. A top-500 recruit and Preseason All-American in the Northeast region, Duffield was most recently named to the All-Tournament Team at the 18U PG Mid-Atlantic World Series on Staten Island.
AIDAN KATZAMAN
Aidan Katzman is a 2023 OF/LHP, 1B with a 5-9 148 lb. frame from Huntington Bay, NY who attends Chaminade. Young, athletic frame with square shoulders an, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 6.88 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder fields the ball out front, utilizes an extra step moving into release, strides online and repeats actions, has quickness to arm with a higher release point, loose arm and projects well moving forward. Right-handed hitter, begins with an even stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Stays short to the ball and shows quickness to the barrel coming through the zone. Comfort working to the middle of the field looks to lift at times, shows a consistent handle for the barrel, and projects with added strength.
JD STEMHAGEN
Stemhagen will arrive in the Empire State from Richmond, Va. A preseason Atlantic Region All-American, Stemhagen is the winner of multiple PG awards.
MICHAEL STAIANO
Michael Staiano is a 2023 LHP/1B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Ridgewood, NJ who attends Don Bosco Prep School. Recorded a 7.99 second 60-yard dash time. Projectable frame with broad shoulders and room to fill out. Primary left-handed pitcher with a three-quarters arm slot and generates a good angle. Side step into a leg lift at the belt. The curveball shows good shape and the fastball shows natural running life. Easy release with a short, online arm action. Good feel to land the breaking ball with a short stride down the mound. Arm strength plays from secondary position of first base. A left-handed hitter with a balanced base and a small stride forward. Simple stroke with some impact when squared.
DYLAN MAYER
Mayer will join the Jasper pitching staff from Glenview, Ill. A Central Region Preseason All-American, Mayer is a two-time member of PG all-tournament teams.
