WEST POINT, N.Y. – The throwers of the Manhattan's women's track and field team lifted the lid on the 2022 outdoor season at the West Point Spring Open.
The Jaspers recorded five top 10 finishes.
Alexandra Preckajlo finished second in the shot put and seventh in the discus.
Nina Bjorkman was third in the discus and fifth in the hammer.
Michelle Maliborska came home seventh in the javelin.
Preckajlo posted a best of 13.93m in the shot put and 40.66m in the disucs. Bjorkman recorded a best of 47.85m in the discus and 52.59m in the hammer. Bjorkman's mark in the discus is a new personal best.
Maliborska recorded a best of 29.10m in the javelin.
The Jaspers' full team opens the 2022 spring season next weekend.
