The Jaspers improve to 3-3, while the Peahens fall to 0-2.
Game One
Manhattan outlasted Saint Peter's by a 2-0 score in a 12-inning marathon opener.
The Jaspers broke through in the top of the 12th with a one-out rally, as junior

Gabriella Mazzotta (Somers, NY / Somers) doubled and sophomore
Marika Deemer (Perrysburg, OH / Perrysburg) chased home both runners with a two-run single.
Freshman
Mollie Charest (Chatham, MA / Monomoy Regional) entered in the bottom part of the frame and struck out one while yielding just one hit in earning the save.
Deemer (1-0) picked up the win on the mound, scattering a hit and a walk over 3.0 scoreless frames of relief.
Senior
Kali Puppolo (Adams, NY / Herkimer County CC) started and struck out eight, against just two walks, over 8.0 innings of two-hit ball.
Junior
Vani Patel (Firestone, CO / Herkimer County CC) was 2-for-4 with a double and reached base safely three times, while graduate student
Christine Gebhardt (Middletown, NJ // Middletown North) had two hits to pace the offense.
Game Two
Patel and Gebhardt each homered to pace a 10-hit attack, as Manhattan registered an 8-4 win over Saint Peter's in the nightcap.
The Jaspers struck first with a pair of unearned runs in the second inning, before scoring three times in their next trip to the plate thanks to a two-run double off the bat of Rising. Sophomore
Lauren Rende (Ardsley, NY / Ardsley) followed with a RBI double in staking the visitors to a 5-2 advantage after three complete.
Patel added a two-run home run in the fourth, before the Peahens got two back in the fifth.
Gebhardt would answer with a solo shot in the sixth to providing the final 8-4 count.
Rising (1-1) collected the win, striking out three while yielding four runs, two earned, on four hits, while also going 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Gebhardt also registered multiple-hits, finishing up 2-for-3 with a home run and two runs.
Graduate student
Nicole Williams (Ansonia, CT / St. Joseph's) closed out the victory with four strikeouts over 2.1 hitless frames.
Tomorrow's games have been cancelled due to projected inclement weather.
Manhattan will next host Quinnipiac on Wednesday, March 31, with doubleheader action starting at 12:00 pm.
