Atlanta, GA - Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator Allie Bassetti has been named to Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Thirty Under 30 list presented by Morgan Stanley Global Sports & Entertainment honorees for the 2020-21 season.
The WBCA Thirty Under 30 program was created to recognize 30 up-and-coming women's basketball coaches age 30 and under at all levels of the game. Each honoree has exemplified their involvement in community service, mentorship and impact on others, professional manner, and attitude and professional association involvement.
"We are all so excited for Allie to be nationally recognized by the WBCA," said Head Coach Heather Vulin. "Allie has been a part of this program since the beginning and has been instrumental in our growth. She is such a talent, and is definitely a rising star in our profession. She has done a terrific job implementing our defensive principles in practice, recruiting high caliber student-athletes, and mentoring our players on a daily basis."
Bassetti has helped Vulin guide the program to back-to-back winnings seasons and a postseason appearance for the first time since the 2011-12 season. Additionally, Bassetti, who was promoted to recruiting coordinator in 2019, was a major factor in the Jaspers posting their top league winning percentage (.750) since their 2002-03 MAAC Championship season.
