Edison, NJ - Manhattan College's Bella Nascimento has been named the MAAC Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week.
Nascimento averaged 10 points, 2.5 rebounds per game, and 1.0 assists per game over twenty minutes per game, helping the Jaspers to a perfect 2-0 week.
The Grafton, MA native began her big week in a pre-Thanksgiving win at LIU, scoring 11 points with three rebounds. Nascimento followed that up with nine points, two rebounds, and two assists against FDU. Earlier this year Nascimento made a splash in the MAAC ASUN Challenge, scoring a career-high 13 points against Stetson.
For the season, Nascimento is averaging 8 points per game, 2.2 rebounds per game, and 1.3 assists per game.
