Steve Masiello has announced the addition of guard
Anthony Nelson (New York, NY / Seton Hall) for the 2020-21 season.
Nelson joins fellow transfers
Samba Diallo (Rufisque, Senegal / UMass) and
Jason Douglas-Stanley (Mount Vernon, NY / George Mason), who transferred into the program earlier in April. All three student athletes will be juniors and have two years of eligibility remaining. Click

Nelson Capsule
* As a sophomore, Nelson averaged 2.7 points and 2.3 assists per game, while helping Seton Hall to a 21-9 record and a No. 15 ranking in the final AP poll.
* Played in 27 games, making two starts, while registering at least four assists on 10 occasions.
* Handed out five assists against No. 3 Michigan State, before scoring 10 points with four assists and two steals in win over No. 7 Maryland.
*Named to the 2019 Big East All-Academic Team.
* In victory over Prairie View A&M, recorded a career-high seven assists.
* As a freshman in 2018-19, scored a career-high 12 points against Villanova in the Big East Tournament Championship Game.
* Notched five points against Wofford in the 2019 NCAA Tournament.
* Posted an impressive 1.89 assist/turnover ratio (123 assists/65 turnovers) over his two years in South Orange, as the Pirates posted a combined 41-23 record (22-14 Big East).
