Briana Matazinsky (Valley Falls, NY / Tamarac) was named First Team All-MAAC for the third consecutive year at the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference's 2018 softball awards banquet at Monmouth University Wednesday, May 9. Teammates

Shannon Puthe (Mullica Hill, NJ / Saint Joseph's) were named to the All-MAAC Second Team, while freshman
Daniela Chiorazzi (Stony Point, NY / North Rockland) was named to the league's All-Rookie Team.
Recognized as the league's best utility player, Matazinsky led the Jaspers with a .340 batting average, earning 48 hits in 141 at bats, with 32 runs scored and 26 RBIs (the second-best on the team). She tallied 11 doubles, one triple, and four home runs. In the field, Matazinsky compiled 37 put outs and 48 assists, earning a fielding percentage of .966. Last season, Matazinsky was named to the league's first team as a utility player, as well, while also being named to the second team as a pitcher.
One of the league's best infielders, Pitney was named to the conference second team after leading the Jaspers in slugging percentage (.600) and on-base percentage (.508). Pitney's on-base percentage sits at 35th in all of NCAA Division I. She also led Manhattan in home runs, with nine. At second base, Pitney tallied 117 putouts and 96 assists, for a fielding percentage of .959.
Outfielder Puthe, a 2017 All-MAAC First Team honoree, was named to the All-MAAC Second Team for the second time in her career, having earned the recognition in 2016. The program's leader in career stolen bases, she led the team in the category this year with 10. She also led the Jaspers in hits, going 49-152 on the season, driving in 15 runs. Puthe's 12 doubles and two triples were team bests, as well.
The Jaspers' starting catcher, Chiorazzi was one of 11 players named to the All-Rookie team. In her first season at Manhattan, she earned two conference Rookie of the Week honors. Chiorazzi went 36-133 on the year, with a team-leading 29 RBIs. She tallied eight doubles, a triple, and four home runs. Behind the plate, Chiorazzi totaled 182 putouts on her way to a .980 fielding percentage.
