RIVERDALE, NY – On Aug. 11-12, the Manhattan College women's basketball team will host a pair of camps for high school-aged prospects. The Jaspers will be holding a Skills Camp from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 11, with the Elite Camp scheduled for 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 12. Both camps will take place at the College of New Rochelle's Wellness Center because of the ongoing renovations at Draddy Gymnasium.
The Skills Camp will focus on positional development and game-specific situations. The Elite Camp, meanwhile, will feature skills and competitive segments, as well as drills and a film session. The cost is $75 for the Elite Camp and $40 for the Skills Camp. For campers who wish to attend both sessions, the fee is $100. Registration for the Elite Camp begins at 9 a.m., and all participants (in both camps) must sign a medical waiver form.
"Our Elite Camp gives each camper an opportunity to see our style of play, spend time with our staff and players, and experience what it would be like to be challenged to be the best player they could be in our system," Head Coach Heather Vulin said. "We feel that each camper will learn from this experience, as well as help prepare them for their upcoming season and the next step of being a college basketball player."
Campers can pay with a check by mail or on site with either cash or check. No credit card payments will be accepted. Checks should be made payable to "Manhattan College Women's Basketball." Space is limited to the first 50, but paid registration does guarantee a spot.
