Warley Named MAAC Rookie of the Week

Riverdale, NY - Courtney Warley (West Chester, PA / Bishop Shanahan) has been named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Rookie of the Week, the league announced Monday. A freshman center for the Manhattan College women's basketball team, Warley is coming off a breakout performance this past Saturday where she made her first collegiate start and recorded her first career double-double.  

In 23 minutes of play, Warley tallied 14 points and 12 rebounds (both career highs) against LIU Brooklyn, helping the Jaspers to a 72-38 victory over the Blackbirds. She shot 80.0 percent from the field and tallied two assists and two steals, as well. Warley had a previous career high of four points and seven rebounds on November 25 against Coppin State in Manhattan's second game of the 2017 Cal Classic in Berkeley, CA.
