GLASGOW, Scotland – On Thursday evening, Manhattan College volunteer assistant track & field coach Annie Alexander completed competition at the Commonwealth Games. She represented her native Trinidad & Tobago in the qualifying round of the women's discus throw at Hampden Park Stadium.
Alexander's best effort came on her second attempt, when she got out to 47.73 meters (156 feet, seven inches). That performance was good enough for 15th place. However, only the top 12 finishers advanced to Friday night's final.
The discus throw was Alexander's second event of the Commonwealth Games. She also competed in the women's shot put on Wednesday night.
