Directions to Provident Bank Park
RIVERDALE, N.Y. – The Manhattan College Athletic Department is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement with Provident Bank Park in Pomona, N.Y., to host a pair of baseball games at the venue. The Jaspers' non-conference contests against NYIT on Tuesday, April 23 and Albany on Wednesday, April 24, will be held at the 3,500-seat home of the Rockland Boulders. First pitch on both nights is scheduled for 7 p.m.
“Our guys are definitely excited about it,” Head Coach Jim Duffy said. “It's a little different to play night games in the middle of the week, but it's an exciting opportunity to get to play some home games at such a state-of-the-art facility.”
Provident Bank Park opened in 2011 and is the home of the Rockland Boulders in the independent Can-Am League. Nicknamed “America's Best New Ballpark,” the stadium features 3,500 fixed seats, as well as 750 berm seats, 11 loge boxes and 16 suites. The concourse offers a 360-degree view around the field, and home plate is located less than 50 feet away from the backstop. In addition, Provident Bank Park boasts one of the largest LED video boards in minor league baseball.
The American Society of Civil Engineers lauded the design and construction of the facility by selecting Provident Bank Park as the winner of its “Ward House Award” for “Small Project of the Year” in 2012.
